Myotis Bat
Myotis Bat
Myotis bats "shout" with loud high intensity calls when hunting in open areas. They hunt at close range, but can detect objects thirty feet away with their echolocation. Listen for the social vocalizations of a colony of Yuma myotis from a barn in Sonoma County. These audible vocalizations reach a peak just prior to their dusk departure from the roost to feed.

Listen to the echolocation clicks of a Myotis Bat.
