The White
Elephant Sale is the biggest, the best, and certainly the
most enjoyable rummage sale in Northern California. All proceeds
from the sale go to support programs and exhibitions at
the Oakland Museum of California.
There are 17 departments in the White Elephant Sale—with
everything for sale from sporting goods to boutique items, books
to furniture, art to electrical items, dishes to shoes, and children's
clothes, toys and furnishings to Hawaiian shirts and vintage clothing—all
spread out in separate departments in the 96,000-square-foot warehouse.
You will find collectibles and treasures of all sorts!
The White Elephant Sale will be held on Saturday, March
1, and Sunday, March 2, 2008. The Sale is held at the White Elephant Sale
Warehouse at 333 Lancaster Street, just off the 880 Freeway/Fruitvale
exit near the Oakland Estuary. The Sale is open from 10:00 to 4:00
each day.
