I recently
joined OMCA. When should I expect to receive my membership card?
Your permanent membership card will
arrive within two weeks. If you have
any questions,
or would
like to
request temporary
cards,
please call Membership Services at
510/238-6614. In the meantime you
can still
visit the museum.
Just ask
the Admissions
agent
to look up your membership status.
He or she can also issue you a
temporary membership card until your
new one arrives.
What are
the basic benefits of membership?
Basic benefits include free unlimited
year-long admission; a personalized
membership card;
a subscription to
the quarterly member publication,
@California; special
member previews and events; a 10%
Museum Store
discount; a
monthly member
e-newsletter;
a
one-time
use guest pass for general admission,
and discounts on family programs,
travel opportunities,
performances
and
more.

Can
I bring a guest to a members'
preview?
Yes! Members are encouraged to bring guests and spread the word
about OMCA.
How can I
use my guest pass?
Guest passes can be used for one free visit to the museum during
regular OMCA hours. They are for general admission only and
do not have an expiration date.
Members at
the Student, Educator, Senior Individual and Individual levels
receive one complimentary guest pass. Members who have
Senior Family/Dual and Family/Dual memberships receive two
complimentary
guest passes. All other membership levels receive four complimentary
guest passes each year.
I would like
to give my guest pass to a friend. Do I need to be present when
my friend visits the museum?
No.

Will my guest
passes expire after a certain time period?
OMCA guest passes do not have an expiration date.
How can I
renew my membership?
There are four convenient ways you can renew your membership:
- Join
online
- Phone
us Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. at 510/238-6614.
- Visit
us on the second level at Admissions (Visitor information
Center) during regular museum hours.
- Print
and complete the online
membership form—and mail it with
your payment to:

didn’t receive a renewal reminder. How many do you send
and how can I make sure I get future reminders?
We typically send out four reminders unless requested otherwise.

Can
I let my friend use my membership card?
Membership
cards are non-transferable. Only the cardholder is entitled
to use the membership card.
How can I
keep updated about current events at OMCA?
As a member, you’ll receive a quarterly issue of @ California.
Don’t forget to sign up for your member
e-newsletter.
You’ll
get monthly reminders of what’s happening at OMCA and
learn about upcoming special member events. You can also
access a current calendar of events
at www.museumca.org/calendar.

What do I
do about a lost or stolen membership card?
To replace a lost or stolen card, please call Membership Services

check on the status of my membership?
For questions regarding the status of your membership,
payment or other concerns, please call Membership Services

I’m
interested in upgrading my membership to a higher level. Do
I need to wait until my current membership expires?
No, you may upgrade your membership at anytime during
the year—just call
Membership Services at 510/238-6614 and begin taking
advantage of the benefits of an upper category of
membership.
