Oakland Museum of California Announces September/October Family Programs and Events

(OAKLAND, CA) July 30, 2013—The Oakland Museum of California (OMCA) launches into the ‘Year of the Bay’ with opening events for the major exhibition Above and Below: Stories of Our Changing Bay from August 30 to September 1. Weekly family activities take place during Friday Nights @ OMCA with Off the Grid food trucks, live music, late Gallery hours, half-off admission for adults, and free admission for ages 18 and under! In September, the popular annual Days of the Dead exhibition, The Tree of Life and Death: Días de los Muertos 2013, opens with Family programs and tours offered throughout the run, and the 19th Annual Community Celebration on October 27. OMCA always offers great deals on admission for families, with regular admission for youth ages 9 to 17 at $6. Children 8 and under visit for free!
