Teachers interested in scheduling self-guided visits should submit a reservation request by using the "Book A School Tour" online form or by mailing or faxing the paper form.
Self-guided visits are scheduled on Wednesday through Friday mornings beginning at 11:00 am. Generally we are able to schedule a maximum of 2 self-guiding classes or up to 60 students per day to visit the galleries. Pricing for groups of 1-30 students is $10 per class for Oakland schools and $30 per class for non-Oakland schools.
Docent-led tours have the right of way in the galleries. In order to avoid congestion in the galleries, you may be asked to start in a less crowded area of thegallery. If you are bringing more than one class you may be asked to start your visit in different galleries. Curriculum materials for the Art and History galleries are available here.
