| Programs
for Visionary Donors Thanks to
people like you, we’ve started something big.
In 1969, the Oakland Museum of California was launched with a big
idea: A great state deserves a great museum to chronicle its sweeping
story. Ours is an epic tale best told through the wide-angle lens
of art, history, and nature. Today, the
museum’s collections are internationally known.
Our exhibitions make headlines. Our education programs shape the
lives of more than 90,000 schoolkids every year. Our special events
bring diverse groups of people together for activities and celebrations. Thanks to
the loyal and continued support of museum patrons, the Oakland
Museum of California is able to flourish as an important
community resource. If you haven’t joined our museum family
yet, we hope you’ll do so now. Visionary museum supporters
who annually donate $1,000 or more are invited into our Donor Forum,
Curators Forum, or California Collectors Circle. Being a museum
donor means you’re part of an informed and
committed group of individuals who make a real difference in the
lives of Californians throughout the state. No other museum combines
California’s art, history, and nature into one landmark facility,
set in a beautiful urban garden.
Make some
history of your own by joining the museum family or renewing
your commitment today. Your support at one of our Visionary Donor
levels will ensure that California’s grand and growing
legacy will be on view today, tomorrow, and for future generations.
